At Axon, Jilles provides clients with legal advice on matters related to medical devices, healthcare, and sustainability initiatives, with particular expertise in the EU Battery Regulation. His combination of technical understanding and legal expertise allows him to provide practical, solution-oriented advice to clients navigating complex regulatory landscapes.

After initially pursuing Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft — an experience that provided valuable technical design insights — Jilles found his true interest in law. He graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam with a degree in Healthcare Law, including a semester abroad at Stockholm University where he completed courses in EU Competition Law and Legal English.

During his master’s, when Jilles first started working at Axon, he discovered his passion for the regulatory aspects of the life sciences sector. This experience laid the foundation for his current practice specializing in healthcare, medical device and sustainability law.

Outside the office, Jilles can be found kickboxing, working out at the gym, or on the slopes during ski season. As a self proclaimed sci-fi enthusiast, he enjoys exploring new landscapes, both fictional and regulatory.
